A Legacy of Courage on the High Plains

Founded in 1952, the San Jon Fire Department has been the backbone of public safety in one of the Texas Panhandle's most resilient communities. What began as a small volunteer effort has grown into a professional, full-time department serving San Jon and the surrounding Deaf Smith County area.

Our firefighters train relentlessly — in the heat of summer and the chill of winter — because the people of this community deserve nothing less than the very best. Every call is answered with the same dedication that has defined us for over seven decades.
